About Material Integrity Services
At SIRIM QAS International, our Material Integrity Testing Section provides third party and independent testing services. Our testing services cover:
- metallic materials and products
- proof load test on lifting devices
- failure investigation services with specialisation in failure analysis of metallic materials.
Why SIRIM QAS International?
We are accredited to MS ISO/IEC 17025 by the Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARDS MALAYSIA) under the National Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAMM).
Standards Malaysia also grants our laboratories the ILAC Laboratory Combined MRA Mark. The mark signifies that all test reports issued by our laboratories are internationally recognised.

- On-site Jobs – Plant Condition Assessment, Fire and Creep Damage Assessment of High Temperature Plant Components, Hardness Test, On-site Replication/Metallurgical Examination.
- Laboratory Test – Material Analysis, Metallurgy, hardness, Coating and Corrosion Tests.
- Positive Materials Identification (PMI) – Analysis of a metallic alloy to establish composition by reading the quantities by percentage of its constituent elements.
