22 April 2022 – Briefing Session: Non-Medical Facemask

The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) announced on 5th April 2022 that non-medical face masks need SIRIM certification and MS Mark before being sold in Malaysia.

All locally manufactured and imported non-medical face masks must be certified and comply with set safety standards, effective 01 January 2023. Only certified non-medical face masks with the SIRIM Label are allowed into the market.
