Following the recent announcement on the lockdown, SIRIM QAS is doing our part to flatten the curve. Our office is closed, however, we shall continue serving you for the following services:
- Inspection and Sampling services at all Ports of Entry and designated warehouses for identified products under the Custom Prohibition Order (Imported Iron and Steel and Flour).
- Consignment of Electrical and Electronic & Gas appliances products, provided the importer has the necessary approval from relevant Ministry to operate.
- Issuance of Type Approval and Special Approval, Issuance of Self Labelling ID and Product Registration (SLP) and Issuance of import Permit and Release Letter for
Communications, Multimedia and Hybrid products. - Monitoring of long-term test in SIRIM QAS’ Test Lab.
- Any activities or processes that can be performed online (including Remote Audit).
